Transcription department at LMKR is engaged in a number of local and international data processing projects. This involves data format conversions, formatting, QC etc. However, the center was dependent on a number of legacy and third party proprietary Applications to manage their day to day operations. A major drive was initiated in-house to develop a state of the art solution to perform the day to day operations more effectively and at the same time reducing the large overhead (time and resources) of legacy systems. An in-house team was created comprising a project manager with a dedicated team of system analysts, Architects, Application developers and Testers. The project was completed within time span of 8 months. This resulted in operational efficiency by reducing the operation time by up to 50% and cost overhead in some areas up to 90%.
