In 1993, Government of Pakistan undertook the gigantic task of revamping the existing infrastructure and development of energy sector along modern lines. During that year, LMKR was awarded the capacity building, feasibility study and database development project for the Energy Wing (Ministry of Planning), funded by USAID. LMKR conducted a thorough need/problem analysis leading to a concrete solution. Under this project, a comprehensive database system for commercial and technical library functions was developed and consequently a detailed training program was executed. In addition a comprehensive computing infrastructure was also established with provisions for possible future expansions.
