This was a data migration and consolidation project. The major part of the conversion was from IESX to Landmark SeisWorks. In addition, data was also required to be migrated from Kingdom Suite to Landmark.

LMKR was a major part of the team and performed the data migration for the client well within the stipulated time. “The Servers’ super-site at the ChevronTexaco New Orleans Office, was accessed from Houston Bellaire office using Team Workspace”. The seismic data conversion was the major task in this conversion process. It involved 2D & 3D seismic trace data, 2D & 3D horizons, faults, mapping files, contours etc. The number of 2D lines was approximately 30,000 and the total size of the processed 3D trace data was approximately 3 terabytes. Well data was fairly limited with only 3000-4000 wells with picks. The project also involved directional surveys, time depth tables, position logs etc. Besides seismic and well data, cultural data was also exported from Kingdom Suite.
