LMKR has unparalleled experience in the area of data and media transcription and re-mastering. We specialize in providing a tape transcription service for oil exploration data. We transcribe in excess of 150,000 tapes and cartridges per annum. Projects vary in size from a few tapes to hundreds of thousands of tapes.

We hold the capability to copy data in multiple formats on a wide range of media types. During the copying process, data can be copied by selecting specific file ranges, and/or concatenated by copying many inputs on to a single output.
We can reformat data to and from a wide range of standard industry formats.

Our specialized QA and QC procedures are designed on the basis of high-end domain expertise and solid experience. The software being used by the transcription and remastering facility has specialized QA and QC provisions such as on-screen plots of the data; header and trace listing; data and media dumps; bit for bit comparison etc.
LMKR provides extremely reliable data and media recovery, and transcription services. We have a dedicated investigation facility for identifying media deterioration—commonly referred to as Stiction. We have developed various techniques for data recovery from deterioted media.
Data is stored in our specialized facility under recommended storage procedures and conditions for enhanced data life. Some of the features of our data archival facility are as follows:
