Description

The objective of this two-day course is to introduce geoscientists to basics of geological and petrophysical interpretations. This course includes an introduction to practical petrophysical techniques, ideal for geoscientists seeking to learn Petrophysics. The course demonstrates petrophysical interpretation workflows using PRIZM.

Objectives
After completion of this course, you will have an understanding of wireline logs, their usage and the following general petrophysical interpretation workflows:

  • Applying Log Quality Control
  • Working with User Defined Equations (UDEs) and Crossplots in PRIZM
  • Creating log templates for calculated curve sets
  • Running curve data statistics and working with ZoneManager
  • Borehole stability interpretations
  • Estimating volumetric reserves
  • Creating petrophysical property maps
